Support up to 66 lb with the Evolution 3 Pro Steve Carbon Fiber Tripod with Airhed 3 Ball Head from 3 Legged Thing. The tripod and head extends to 80.4" high and weighs 4.25 lb. With the center column removed the head can get down to just 8.3" off the ground. The reverse-folding legs of the tripod contribute to its compact folded length of 24".
The 3-section legs can be independently locked in 23, 55, and 80° angles, and each leg's height is controlled by ParaLock twist locks. One of the tripod's legs can be removed and used as a monopod that extends up to 62.6" high. For low angle photography, the center column can be reversed to get your camera down to nearly ground level.
The Airhed 3 ball head can hold a direct load of 440 lb, and has a a detachable Arca-type compatible panning clamp and quick-release plate. The QR plate is also compatible with the Peak Design Capture Clip for added versatility. Separate locks control the movement of the ball and the 360° horizontal panning.
For off-axis panning, the clamp also has the ability to pan 360°, allowing it to act as a semi-gimbal head when in the portrait position. The clamp can be removed and is backwards-compatible with previous AirHed's, such as the AH0, AH1 and AH2 from the Evolution 2 range. A bull's eye bubble level on the clamp enables you to quickly align the camera with the horizon when the tripod is on uneven ground.
