The 1TB Neutrino U3 Portable Hard Drive from Akitio is an enclosure that comes preinstalled with a 2.5" SATA hard drive to store your movies, photos, music and more. The drive can be replaced with a faster SSD up to 12.5mm in height and connecting via SATA. This drive connects to Windows or Mac systems via the USB 3.0 port to offer 10 times faster transfer rates compared to USB 2.0. Powering the drive requires only a USB bus powered port but an optional power adapter is also available. The hard drive is passively cooled for quiet operation via the large heatsink located on the bottom of the drive. This drive can also be stacked with other Neutrino's and includes a USB 3.0 cable.
