Giving you both wireless and wired MIDI control options, the Vortex Wireless - USB/MIDI Keytar With Accelerometer from Alesis provides 37 velocity-sensitive keys with aftertouch, 8 velocity-sensitive drum pads, an assignable touchstrip, and sustain and octave controls. Its integrated accelerometer is located in the neck and can be assigned to a variety of functions, allowing you to control parameters by moving the neck of the keytar.
When used wirelessly, the Vortex is powered by 4 included AA batteries, but can also be bus or adapter powered (not included). Thanks to its USB and 5-pin DIN MIDI out, it can be used to control a variety of MIDI compatible software and hardware through a wired connection. To help get you started out of the box, a copy of Ableton Live Lite and downloads for SONiVOX Vortex-I and AIR Music Tech's Ignite are included. Also included are a USB wireless receiver, a USB extension cable, a USB cable, a strap, and a cable harness.
