The American Dynamics RHIUTH is for the SpeedDome series dome cameras. Besides using it independently, by fixing directly to the ceiling, the housing serves as an accessory to other mounting structures as well. It can be used with accessories such as the RU105UD clear bubble and RU107UD smoked bubble. Several wall mounting structures use the Top Hat Housing as an optional accessory for fixing directly to walls, ceilings, corners, electrical boxes, or drop ceiling tiles.
Although the housing is plenum rated (smoke-resistant), it has an option to be used with RHPLA plenum adapter for situations which demand stringent plenum requisite. The trim ring of the housing acts as a shock absorber and protects the total housing unit. It is bigger in size and thus covers the metal rim of the Top Hat Housing.
