Upgrade your computer's existing mSATA module, add an mSATA SSD as a boot drive, and create an external mSATA drive enclosure using the mSATA Enclosure and Upgrade Kit from Apricorn. Capable of delivering data transfer speeds of over 300 MB/s (port dependent), this enclosure is compatible with desktop and notebook systems, as well as USB 3.0, USB 2.0, and USB 1.1 connectivity.
If you are upgrading your system with a new mSATA module, the old one can be used in this enclosure as an external USB 3.0 SSD. But you don't have to be swapping out an older mSATA module just to use this enclosure. You can simply purchase an mSATA module, install it in this enclosure, and use it as an external USB 3.0 SSD.
The mSATA Enclosure and Upgrade Kit may be used with any computer that has a USB port, but the included EZ Gig Upgrade Suite Software CD is only compatible with Windows 8, 7, and Vista. This software may be used to clone your data between drives. This kit is protected by a limited 3-year warranty.
