It is about twice as fast as the Cat 5e, and also has a much stronger signal enabling an operating range of up to ten times as long with your vehicle. Additionally, the fiber-optic cable is much thinner and lighter in weight than the standard tether, allowing for easier management. It is ordered by the foot to give you a range of choices for overall length, and must be purchased at the same time as your ROV.
