The NVB5X-3P Gen 3 Autogated Night Vision Biocular from ATN is a dual-ocular NVD designed for intermediate to long-range recreational observations. Since the operator is enabled to keep both eyes open, a biocular design is more comfortable for long-duration viewing than a monocular device. This configuration of the NVB3X features an ITT Gen 3 Pinnacle image intensifier tube that delivers 64-72lp/mm resolution and 25-30:1 signal-to-noise performance. In addition to Automatic Brightness Control and Bright Light Cut-Off circuitry, the Pinnacle tube has an autogated power supply that minimizes halo effect and maximizes image quality by continuously optimizing the power output to the microchannel plate. Autogated NVDs are ideal for operations in dynamic lighting conditions, especially when operating near city nights.
