The user manual for the Aurora Multimedia Digital Xtreme DXE-CAT-RX2 HDBaseT DXE-CAT-RX2 provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Professional Video - Signal Processing & Distribution - Video Extenders & Repeaters.
The Aurora Multimedia Digital Xtreme DXE-CAT-RX2 HDBaseT Receiver works with an optional DXE-CAT-TX2 transmitter to extend a 1080p/60Hz HDMI A/V signal up to 600 ft over one HDBaseT CAT cable. 48-bit signals carry 330 ft over CAT5e/6/7, 24-bit signals 500 ft over CAT6, and 24-bit signals 600 ft over CAT6a shielded. CAT cables are not included.
Two TRS connectors support bi-directional RS-232 and IR remote control. An optional Aurora IR emitter or receiver is required for IR control. Either can be used as long the other is installed on the transmitter end. The transmitter/receiver set requires only one power supply (model # PS0080-1-US), sold separately. Power is sent to the other unit over Ethernet (Power-over-HDBaseT). Alternatively, you can use just an optional PoE switch to power both units.
