Supporting IPTV, ATSC, QAM, DVB, NTSC & PAL, the VTUNE PRO 4K Video Tuner from Aurora Multimedia essentially is a set top box that supports resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 outputting via HDMI 2.0, component, or composite video to your display device. The unit also inputs mpeg via its Ethernet connector, converting and outputting to your display over the same HDMI, component, or composite output. This allows you to have one box that can handle a wide variety of input signals via a single F type connector or its Ethernet port, making this unit suitable for installations that may cycle through a variety of input devices.
Each box supports its own unique IP address, allowing you to stream video to the box, which is useful for IPTV applications. The unit features RS-232 control ports, as well as IP control, and IR control using the included IR remote. An on-screen menu system allows you to set up the unit locally, while a built-in web based system allows you to control the unit over a network. Closed captioning, V-chip, and Dolby Digital Surround Sound are also supported, and the unit comes with rackmount ears for easy installation into a rack.
