The Avenview DVI-C5-M-R DVI Extender Receiver over Single CAT5 - Mini extends your PC DVI reception distance up to 80’ (25 m) at 1024 x 768 and 50’ (15 m) at 1920 x 1200 resolutions. With DVI-C5-M-R, users can receive high-quality digital video of PC applications through one cost-effective CAT-5/5e LAN cable to the remote monitor or projector instead of using short and expensive DVI cables. With embedded EDID inside the adapter of the transmitter (sold separately), your PC will continue to send the digital video even when the monitor is not connected. The user can then disconnect the monitor, place it in a remote location, and reconnect it without rebooting the operating system.
The DVI-C5-M-R includes one unit. This device is designed to work in a pair. One unit should be connected to your PC DVI output, while the receiving unit is connected to the monitor. When successfully connected, the 2 LED lights on the RJ-45 connector will blink.
