The Night Probe 2nd Generation Clip-On Kit for Riflescopes with 24-40mm Objectives from Bering Optics contains a 2nd generation night vision device for attachment to day riflescopes and an adapter kit with fitting rings for 24-40mm objective riflescopes. The Night Probe attachment provides a 273 yard detection range and features multicoated optics, a 1x magnification, a 30mm objective lens, a 16° wide angle of view, and an 11 yard minimum focus. When compared to 1st generation tubes, the 2nd generation intensifier tube offers significant improvements in image resolution and brightness and provides softer tones of green. If you encounter a very bright scene or a sudden flash of bright light that may damage your tube, the bright light cut-off function will automatically turn off your device. The tube also features automatic brightness control to help you when you are moving through environments with changing lighting conditions and don't have the time to adjust a brightness knob.
The aluminum housing is lightweight, water and corrosion resistant and accommodates two included Weaver rails, one on the bottom and one on the right side. You can use these rails for mounting optional accessories, like infrared lasers or LED illuminators.
To mount your Night Probe NVD to 24-40mm riflescope objectives, use the included clip-on adapter and four fitting rings with different diameters. The adapter connects directly to the Night Probe NVD and via fitting rings to the objective of your riflescope. To allow a quick detachment, the adapter has two low-profile quick-release levers. Also included are a flip-up front lens cup, an Allen wrench, and a carry bag.
