The 4 x 2 Rackmountable HDMI Switcher from Black Box is a matrix that routes up to 4 to up to 2 displays. This can be configured however you like: a single input can be mapped to a single output; or one output can be distributed across two outputs. It supports up to 1080p resolution with EDID detection being used to obtain the highest common resolution shared among the connected displays. This means if both a 1080i and a 720p TV are connected the output resolution to both TVs will be automatically set to 720p.
The 4 x 2 Rackmountable HDMI Switcher can be controlled locally using either front panel buttons of the included IR remote, or it can be operated via an automation system or remotely using its RS-232 interface.
