The black SE3S-304 Security Transmitter from Bosch is used by security personnel and operates at a frequency of 304 MHz. It works in the same manner as normal transmitters during testing. When a security transmitter is tested near a receiver, the central console can record the location of the officer and the time of the test. This can be used to generate a Guard Tour Report.
The security transmitter also differs in the way alarms are managed. No sound is emitted from the transmitter itself, no sounders are activated on receivers, and no strobes or sirens are activated. The console in the security office displays the alarm as usual except for a yellow background and a text warning that the event is a Silent Alarm. This allows security personnel to call for assistance without attracting unwanted attention.
