The Cartoni L538 Spinhead Plus is designed for more clearance with longer lenses. The Spinhead is a support head for any film or video camera and supports up to 50 lb (22.7kg) with a cine-style quick-release plate. Its L-shape configuration allows you to operate at nodal setting (coincidence of the rotation center with the optical center) on a tripod, dolly, camera cars, or under slung from a crane or jib arm.
Both pan and tilt movements are assisted by continuous fluid drag units. These fluid drag modules are hollow in the center in order to allow cables and plugs. The spinning tilt unit offsets the camera allowing you to pivot the camera plate for 360° movement and lock it at any angle you may desire. All settings are easily accessible and the spinhead is comfortable to operate. The camera can be centered on board with micrometric cranks. Camera attachment is achieved by a cine-style quick-release plate.
