User manual for the CELESTRON LABS CM800 Cordless Monocular Microscope and Digital
The user manual for the CELESTRON LABS CM800 Cordless Monocular Microscope and Digital provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Optics - Microscopes - Microscopes.
The Celestron CM800 Cordless Monocular Microscope and Digital Imager Kit from B&H includes a cordless scientific microscope with monocular viewing and a digital imager. The kit serves as a versatile tool for enthusiast explorations or professional research and allows not only witnessing discoveries but also documenting them in exciting images and videos for your reports, papers, and presentations with the included digital imager.
The CM800 Cordless Monocular Microscope offers a 45°-inclined ocular for viewing or connecting the included digital imager or a select camera. With a rotating head you can observe your slides from any positions around the microscope and share view with your colleagues or lab-mates. You have a choice of three objectives on a rotating nosepiece and whether to power your microscope from an outlet or the included three AA batteries. With two included eyepieces, the 10x and the 20x, the magnification spans a range from 40x to 800x and enables you to study a multitude of samples ranging from insects, plants, or electronic devices to sections of tissues or cellular structures. To hold your slides securely, this instrument offers a 3.5x3.5" stage with two spring-loaded clips. When they designed the illumination system, Celestron did not cut corners and provided a bright LED illumination with a dimmer and a 0.65 NA Abbe condenser. Under the stage you will find a diaphragm wheel with six apertures of different sizes for controlling the size of illuminating beam of light and three color filters. The included blue, yellow, and red filters allow you to pick up and see different details of your specimens in these spectral bands. To add stability and precision to opto-mechanics, the body and the stage are made of metal. The power supply is rated for 110-240V and will allow you to use this microscope in most parts of the world without needing to buy an extra power converter. Also included with the microscope are ten prepared sample slides.
To empower you with the capability of recording digital videos or capturing digital images while you are making your observations, this kit also includes the Celestron Digital Microscope Imager with a 2MP CMOS sensor and a 10x optic. The imager replaces the microscope's eyepiece and works with eyepiece tubes from 23 mm to 30 mm in diameter. To record and save your data, plug it into your PC or Mac via an attached cable with a USB 2.0 connector. The imager comes with optional image capturing software, the Digital Microscope Suite 2.0 for Windows, but the device itself works equally well with both Windows XP and Mac OS 10.4.9 operating systems or later versions.
