The Lantern Boom Kit from Chimera is a spherical lantern and boom intended to light broad scenes in a soft, even manner from overhead. The 20" Lantern Kit comes with a 9830 Mogul lamp base and 500W tungsten lamp but will accommodate any strobe with the appropriate speedring. It is a versatile lighting tool for lighting multiple people in an scene or for opening up a dark area with natural-looking light. The kit skirt can be used to block the light in any desired direction. The intensity and spread of the light can be varied by simply raising the Avenger convertible stand up to a maximum of 13.5' when the boom is not in use. The boom can be extended from 3.5' to 7'. The entire kit folds into the provided duffle bag.
