The Xpander Rackmount 16 5U Gen 2 PCIe Expansion Enclosure from Cubix provides four Main Interface Boards (MIBs), each connected to a host with a PCIe x16 cable and four PCIe x16 slots for a total of 16 single-slot GPUs or 8 double-slot GPUs with top-connected auxiliary power cables. The host must have at least one PCIe x16 expansion slot available for the Host Interface Controller (HIC). Connect each MIB to one of four HICs in one host or each MIB to a HIC in each of four host computers. Each MIB inside the Rackmount 16 enclosure connects to one HIC in one host computer.
