User manual for the Dakota Alert UTDCR-2500 Door Entry Transmitter & UTDCR-2500
The user manual for the Dakota Alert UTDCR-2500 Door Entry Transmitter & UTDCR-2500 provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Surveillance - Alarm Systems - Stand-Alone Alarms.
Suitable for small-to-mid-size establishments, the UTDCR-2500 Door Entry Transmitter & Receiver Kit from Dakota Alert includes one UT-2500 transmitter with a door/window contact, one DCR-2500 receiver, a lithium battery for the transmitter, a power supply for the receiver, and mounting hardware. Install the transmitter near the door you would like to monitor, and place the receiver where you can hear the audible chime. The receiver supports up to four door unit transmitters (available separately), and it can be set up to provide a different chime for each door. Each device communicates with the system wirelessly, and the system supports a 2500' wireless transmission distance.
The door unit features a button which triggers a chime from the receiver. This button can be used as a doorbell, a panic button, or for similar applications. The included magnetic contact is designed to be installed at the door jamb and will also trigger a chime when the door is opened. The chime sound lasts from approximately 4 to 8 seconds, depending on the chime you select. When you would like to enter or exit the premises without the chime sounding, an exit button on the receiver will disable the chime for about 5 minutes after being pressed. Additionally, the volume for the chime sound is adjustable, enabling you to choose a quiet, unobtrusive sound, or a loud, warning signal.
