The user manual for the Datavideo MS-2800B 8-Channel HD/SD Mobile Video Studio MS-2800B provides necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Professional Video - Studio & EFP Equipment - Production Switchers.

The MS-2800B 8-Channel HD/SD Mobile Video Studio Bundle from Datavideo is a portable production system for live production and event recording. The mobile studio is centered around the SE-2800 8-channel Switcher and features a TLM-170HM 17.3" LCD Monitor, HDR-70 HDD Recorder, ITC-100 8-User Wired Intercom System with 4 Beltpacks and 4 Headsets, a PD-2 Power Distributor, and a AD-100 Audio Delay Box. It also includes a VSM100 Vectorscope / Waveform Monitor and DAC-50 HD/SD-SDI to Component/Composite Video Signal Converter. All the components are conveniently rack-mounted in a durable aluminum case of easy transport and setup. The total weight for the mobile studio is about 114 pounds.

The Datavideo SE-2800 broadcast-quality switcher features 8 digital and analog inputs, and can be upgraded to support up to 12 inputs. It is designed for live events and TV programs that need to blend a variety of video and audio sources. It supports resolutions of 1080i 50/60, 576i 50, and 480i 59.94/60. Its small form factor allows the switcher to be rack mounted within the aluminum case, and slide out when ready for use. Similarly, the TLM-170HM 17.3" LCD monitor also slides out easily on location, and features a 1600 x 900 resolution display which provides a complete visual overview of all 8 input channels.

The VSM100 Vectorscope / Waveform Monitor provides two screens and helps ensure the stability of video signals through vectorscope, histogram, waveform, and parade displays. For audio/video synchronization, the AD-100 Audio Delay Box provides delay from 0 to 700ms. For converting HD/SD-SDI input signals to either component or composite output, use the DAC-50 HD/SD-SDI to Component/Composite Video Signal Converter.

HD recording is achieved via the HDR-70 HDD Recorder. It records NTSC, PAL, and HD video signals and features one SD/HD-SDI video input/output, and two mini-XLR audio inputs/outputs. It records to 2.5" HDD or SSDs via the removable drive caddy. The HDR-70 features selectable color sampling ratio and data rate settings. The front panel buttons provide you local tape deck like control of the unit, with built-in led audio level meters.

During live productions, good communication between the director, cameraman, lighting, and sound mixer is essential. The integrated ITC-100 Intercom System provides talkback for up to 8 users, with additional tally indication for each camera. The director can select to talk to an individual channel or to all channels simultaneously. The system is supplied with four ITC-100SL camera belt packs, each with microphone headset, on camera dual-color tally indicator, and 65.6' cable.

Power is distributed to the mobile studio components via the PD-2 Power Distributor. Providing 400W of steady power, the unit accepts either a 3-prong AC power chord or two 12V 200W DC power connections. It features four 12VDC 5A XLR female connectors, and two 12VDC 10A XLR female connectors. A row of LED indicator lights on the front panel indicate the status of the 7 outputs. The optional PD-3 Power Distribution Center is also available, offering 8 additional DC outputs.
