User manual for the Dave Smith Instruments Tetra Analog Desktop Synthesizer DSI-1204
The user manual for the Dave Smith Instruments Tetra Analog Desktop Synthesizer DSI-1204 provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Pro Audio - Musical Instruments - Synthesizer Modules.
The Tetra Analog Desktop Synthesizer Module from Dave Smith Instruments is a desktop synthesizer whose 4 voices can be used in 3 different modes for a variety of performance options. In Program Mode, Tetra acts as a polyphonic synth with 4 banks of 128 programs. With Combo Mode, each of its 4 voices can be played in unison or assigned a different program, allowing for four different 16x4 step sequenced patterns simultaneously. Multi Mode allows you to use each of the Tetra's 4 voices as separate mono parts that can be individually sent out the Tetra's four 1/4" audio outputs.
Each of its 4 voices has 2 analog oscillators, 2 sub-octave generators for sub-bass tones, and a Curtis analog low-pass filter. Additionally, each voice has a 16x4 step sequencer and arpeggiator. The Tetra has 5-pin DIN MIDI input and output as well as a USB 2.0 connector for its MIDI compatibility. A third 5-pin DIN MIDI connector acts as a poly chain connection for connecting your Tetra a second Tetra, Prophet '08, or Mopho synthesizer for additional voices. You can also download the free editor for Mac and PC that allows you to tweak your sounds from your computer via the Tetra's USB 2.0 port.
