Full pentaplex operation, multiple alarm inputs, 960H real-time recording resolution, and expandable storage capacity up to 4TB, make the VMAX 960H CORE 8-Channel DVR with 3TB HDD from Digital Watchdog a powerful recording and storage solution for a one to four camera surveillance system.
The VMAX 960H has eight BNC video inputs to accommodate up to 8 960H resolution cameras, but is also backwards compatible with lower resolution analog cameras. The DVR can record at a rate of up to 30 fps per channel in 960H resolution and features space-saving H.264 video compression to maximize the DVR's preinstalled 3TB hard disk drive storage space. Furthermore, the DVR offers a wide range of configurable recording modes to help you capture what matters.
Additionally, the DVR has four alarm inputs and one alarm output that are used to connect to external devices. The DVR's inputs can support a device that can toggle between an open/closed circuit, such as a PIR motion detector and door/window glass break detectors, which can alert surveillance staff to movement, break-ins, and more. The alarm output also connects to an external device, such as a relay, microphone, or PA system. The DVR also has an audio input and an audio output that allow you to easily integrate a high-quality microphone and a speaker.
For further convenience, the DVR has many features designed to alert you to movement and other forms of activity. You can receive alarm notifications on your Android and iOS smart devices as well as your Kindle Fire in the event that you are not sitting in front of a monitor. Along with the VMAX 960H DVR, an IR remote control, USB mouse, power adapter, and mounting hardware are also included to facilitate installation and operation.
