The Dotworkz IP Recorder 2TB 1U Server is a low profile NVR that can be used to manage the viewing and recording of multiple IP cameras over a network. This unit comes pre-installed with Windows Server 2008, and with the addition of a recording program of your choice becomes a fully functional network recorder. Free trial surveillance software is included from ONSSI, Sony, Axis and Milestone XProtect line.
To keep up with the unique demands of video surveillance, this NVR incorporates impressive computing power. In addition to its Quad-Core Xeon processor, this NVR boasts 2GB RAM, a gigabit Ethernet controller, and a 32MB graphics card. There are also a generous number of PCI slots for expansion purposes.
This recorder ships with two 1TB HDD but has room for four 1TB HDDs. The drives are hot swappable and can be inserted or removed without having to first power down the unit. For fail-safe operation, an on-board RAID controller will allow two or four drives to be configured as a RAID array. This way if one drive fails, its information can be recovered from another functioning drive. An auto login and auto boot function will restore system settings following a power failure. This NVR also comes with a built-in slim CD burner to facilitate easy offloading of event material to an optical disc.
