The BrightEye 54 Sync Generator & Test-Signal Generator from Ensemble Designs is a master sync generator, and test-signal generator that provides a stable timing source using an internal precision standard that meets full broadcast specifications. It features an HD tri-level sync output, which provides reference to high definition equipment such as VTRs, disc recorders, and workstations. Format options includes 720p, 1080i, 1080sF, and 1080p.
The unit's SDI and analog composite outputs can manage a number of signal types, including but not limited to: color black, bars, crosshatch, multiburst, and SDI checkfield (pathological) signals. An ID slate with user programmable text can overlay test patterns. The generator also includes a cyclops feature that adds a motion element to the video test signal, a characteristic well suited to live applications. Audio functionality includes AES3id digital audio, analog audio, and embedded audio reference outputs.
Front panel controls allow you to adjust many of this model's parameters. The unit can also be controlled through the BrightEye software package that is included with the unit and compatible with both Windows and Mac platforms.
