The user manual for the Ewa-Marine D-B Underwater Housing For Mirrorless Cameras EM D-B provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Photography - Underwater Photography - Still Cameras & Housings.
The Ewa-Marine D-B Underwater Housing For Mirrorless Cameras is a durable PVC case with an optically neutral flat glass port. It is designed for the compact MFT / Micro-Four-Thirds and other mirrorless SLR or CSC / Compact-System-Cameras and lenses. The housing is compatible with lenses from 0.8-2.8" (2.0-7.0cm) in length, with a maximum diameter of 2.6" (6.5cm) and a maximum filter thread of 62mm. Great for use on small boats, in the surf, and while swimming, snorkeling or diving, the case makes camera operation simple: Controls and buttons can be manipulated through the PVC. The housing even features a special finger-"glove" enabling easy access to the camera's shutter button and finger tip control. The housing has a depth rating of 98.4' (30 m).
Inside the case, the camera's auto focus and flash continue to function optimally. The specially-designed section at the top of the housing accommodates the flip-up, internal flash found on certain camera models, enabling use of the flash both above and below the water's surface.
As you descend beneath the surface, air gets pressed into the camera. As a result, the pressure inside the housing remains the same as the surrounding water pressure, making implosions virtually impossible. Be sure to start your dive with sufficient air inside the housing. The supplied foam pads are part of this air "reservoir" and extra air should also be blown into the housing, via the rear valve, in order to ensure that the maximum potential volume is used.
The housing features a pair of non-corrosive, seawater-resistant clamping rails, which fit together for an ideal seal. They are tightened via 3 screw knobs. The case is supplied inside a handy yellow carry case with a waterproof interior and a zippered side pocket.
