The For-A MBP-110SXA64G MXF Clip Server Baseband Converter (64 GB), with HD/SD-SDI inputs and outputs, and a 64 GB solid-state drive (SSD) for stable recording can record and play MXF files compatible with Sony XDCAM/XDCAM HD/XDCAM HD422 equipment. It enables clips to be transferred over gigabit ethernet providing seamless operation, and offers support for up to 8 channel embedded audio, 8 channel AES (advanced encryption standard) in/output, ingest (simultaneous multi-channel and multi-format live recording and transcoding), playback, and automatic program playout.
With the control software, the MBP-110SXA64G MXF Clip Server Baseband Converter can be operated as a standalone unit when connected to a mouse and PC monitor or touch-panel interface. The control software also allows you to view recorded clips by thumbnail display. The baseband converter can be used with the MediaConcierge media management system to function as a clip server providing database-driven management of video clips and playout programs.
In addition to standalone operation, the MXF Clip Server Baseband Converter can be handled over a remote network by installation of software (optional) for remote operation on a PC. Optional software to handle lists indicating the playout order, or administer playouts involving multiple lists is available.
The MBP-110SXA64G MXF Clip Server Baseband Converter features a 100Base-TX/1000Base-T Ethernet port, 4 USB 2.0 ports, RS-422, GPI, and a VGA port for all-round connectivity. With 1RU vibration-resistant case, it is suitable for off-site and in-vehicle applications. A single switch allows the converter to be turned on/off easily, and a solid hardware platform provides stable playback and live video recording.
