The user manual for the Gem Sound CMP-500 - Dual CD, MP3, USB Player and Mixer CMP500 provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Pro Audio - DJ Equipment - CD, MP3 & Media Players.
The Gem Sound CMP-500 - Dual CD, MP3, USB Player and Mixer is designed for playing music at parties and other live sound events. It features two integrated CD players with disk trays as well as support for playing MP3's from computers via its two USB type-A ports. It can also play switchable line level and phono sources via the rear panel RCA connectors. For outputs it features a stereo RCA record output and a stereo RCA amplifier output.
The unit includes two jog and shuttle wheels for track searching, scratching, and pitch bending. Transport controls include a play/pause button as well as a cue button for DJing. A folder/track button is provided for navigating track folders in USB or CD mode and blue LCD displays provide visual feedback. A repeat button allows you to repeat one track or an entire CD. A time button can be switched to show elapsed time, remaining time, or total remaining time.
For mixing, the unit includes in, out, and reloop buttons for setting loop points, and a pitch fader for matching tracks. It also includes a cross fader and high, mid, and low EQ knobs. A mic level knob controls the gain on the 1/4" microphone input, a cue level controls the output to the 1/4" headphone output, and the master level knob controls the output of the master stereo RCA pair.
