The Genustech 67mm 3-in-1 Collapsible Fader Rubber Lens Hood is a screw-on lens hood designed to enhance the results from a Genustech 58mm ND Fader Filter by shading it while it is in use. This lens hood's connecting ring is double-threaded to first screw onto a compatible Genustech ND Fader Filter. It can also screw onto any lens or filter that has 67mm front filter threads that accept a 0.75mm thread pitch. After the lens hood is screwed onto a filter or lens, the front of the connecting ring permits the attachment of a screw-in filter that has 67mm rear threads with a 0.75mm pitch. Under bright lighting conditions, the Genustech 67mm 3-in-1 Collapsible Fader Rubber Lens Hood serves to minimize flare and glare by blocking stray light from entering the filter or the camera lens behind it, as well any filters placed within it. During inclement weather, the hood can help prevent moisture from accumulating on a connected filter or lens's surface.
This lens hood is extendable and offers three stages of shading which can be adjusted to obtain the level of coverage required by the combination of an attached lens's angle-of-view and the lighting conditions under which the lens hood is used. Lens flare is further prevented by the Genustech lens hood's non-glare matte finish and protection from impact to an attached filter or a lens's front is also provided.
