This kit from B&H features the Gitzo Series 2 GK2580TQD Traveler Carbon Fiber Tripod with the Series 2 Traveler Center Ball Head and Series 2 Padded Traveler Tripod Bag to protect your tripod and head.
The tripod is a 4-section compact and lightweight carbon fiber support with an Arca-type compatible hybrid ball head. Weighing 4.2 lb, the Series 2 Traveler can hold up to 15.4 lb. The legs fold up 180° around the center column and head, making the tripod's folded length only 16.9" long. It has a minimum working height of 13.8", and when fully extended it reaches 60.6" high. G-lock leg locks add to the stability and rigidity by actually strengthening the tripod as more weight is added to it.
The ball head features a quick-release system that accepts both Gitzo C-profile plates, and Arca-type compatible plates. This QR system allows the plate to be snapped into the head from above, a faster alternative to sliding in the dovetail plate from the side.
Tying this kit together is the padded bag which features rip-stop nylon to protect your tripod from abrasions and incidental contact. The bag features a symmetrical design and is accessed via two full-length zippers. The exterior zippered accessory pocket is for small items. Portability is via the adjustable shoulder strap.
