The kits pairs the GoPro HERO4 Silver camera with Glidecam's iGlide Handheld Stabilizer, which is specifically designed to support compact cameras like the GoPro. To attach the GoPro to the stabilizer's mounting plate, a tripod mount adapter and quick-release tripod mount are included. The stabilizer features a 3-axis gimbal handle, a telescopic post that extends from 10 to 13 inches, and a flat base that accepts two included counterweight discs. Together with the counterweights, the stabilizer weighs just under 14 ounces.
In addition to 2.7K video, the HERO4 Silver Edition can record 4K Ultra HD (3840x2160) video up to 15 fps, 1080p video up to 60 fps, and 720p video up to 120 fps for slow-motion playback. It can also take 12-megapixel still photos in single-shot or bursts up to 30 fps. The camera features a built-in rear LCD touchscreen display and is equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity for pairing it with a mobile device or the separately available Wi-Fi Smart Remote. There is also a USB port for file transfer, charging, or to connect the separately available 3.5mm mic adapter.
