This HighPoint kit enables you to build a complete external storage solution with the included RocketStor 6414TS Four-Bay SAS/SATA Storage Tower Enclosure and the RocketRAID 2711 Card. This bundle comes with Q-SATA connectivity technology that delivers instant access to four of your drives by offering an individual SATA 6 Gb/s lane for each drive. To fully utilize the performance of an internal drive system externally, the included enclosure provides four SAS/SATA hot-swappable bays that can each support a 2.5" or 3.5" hard drive or an SSD.
The RocketRAID 2711 card occupies a PCIe 2.0 x8 slot inside your desktop and lets you configure your drives into RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, or JBOD. HighPoint has equipped this card with a single mini-SAS connector that connects to the RocketStor 6414TS enclosure. In addition, this card features a low-profile design that is compatible with a small desktop case.
