This all-in-one unit has a clamp so you can mount it on a wide variety of surfaces, such as a boat, the pier, or an ice fishing bucket. Comprised of a screen, transducer, and easy to use mount, this unit has a peak to peak power of 2400W, and can efficiently read bottom contours in water up to a depth of 600'. Down Imaging provides views down to 320', creating high resolution images of what is directly below.
The screen displays temperature, as well as upper and bottom depth ranges. Dual Beam technology has one narrow beam that shows enhanced bottom definition, and one wide beam to pick up on fish when you turn on the Fish ID feature. Fish ID makes it simple to tell which shapes are fish, illustrating them with easy to read icons. An alarm can be set to alert the angler when a predetermined depth is achieved, or program custom alarms to alert you of large fish only, just large and medium sized fish, or any size fish that enters the sonar's beam to better target a specific species.
The built-in clamp mounts the Fishin Buddy to a variety of watercraft and surfaces, including canoes, kayaks, rowboats, and piers with its screw mechanism. The stand-alone nature makes it a suitable choice for ice fishing trips, where it can be placed through a hole, or used to take readings through the ice. Adding to the ease of use, this unit operates on six AA batteries instead of larger, heavier power options.
