The Icon Digital iKeyboard 4 37-Key MIDI Controller is designed to control virtual instruments and hardware over MIDI. The keyboard features 37 velocity sensitive keys with selectable velocity curves, a dual-function encoder knob with an 11-segment LED indicator to show position, pitch and modulation touchpads, a 3-segment LED display, a transpose button, octave up/down buttons, and 18 assignable LED backlit buttons.
For controlling your digital audio workstation, the keyboard also includes illuminated channel buttons for Record enable, solo, mute, play, stop, record, rewind, fast forward and loop. The back of the unit features a MIDI output jack, a USB 2.0 high speed connection for MIDI and bus power, and TRS connectors for connecting sustain and expression pedals.
The keyboard works on both Mac and Windows and comes included with iMap software for custom MIDI mapping. The unit features built-in Mackie control for controlling Cubase, Samplitude, Logic Pro, Nuendo, and Ableton Live. The Mackie HUI protocol is also built-in for controlling Pro Tools. The keyboard comes included with Samplitude 11 Silver Icon edition DAW software. Future firmware upgrades can be uploaded to the device through the USB 2.0 connection, and the keyboard includes a Kensington lock port, for physically securing the device to your desk.
