The IK Multimedia CSR Inverse Reverb Processor Software Plug-In (Download) is designed to model an envelope controlled reverse reverb, reminiscent of those commonly used on snare drums in rock and roll recordings from the 1980s. The reverb applies an envelope with a slow attack and a fast decay to the early reflections of the sound. The primary way that the reverb can be adjusted is by changing the time parameter for the buildup and cut off times of the reflections. It is useful for drums, percussion, vocals, and other sounds that require a distinctive ambiance.
The software can be operated in either easy mode or advanced mode. In easy mode, the most basic controls are available including mix, diffusion, reverb time, mid slope, low slope, and buildup time. Switching the software to advanced mode enables the user to adjust additional reverb parameters in greater detail.
The plug-in is fully compatible with native 32- and 64-bit applications on both Mac OS X (Universal Binary) and Windows (XP/Vista/7/8) computers. It supports VST, RTAS, AAX, and Audio Units plug-in formats. It can also be used with the T-RackS CS standalone application (sold separately).
