The user manual for the ikan VX9i-1 9" Full HD Plus 3G-SDI/HDMI Monitor VX9I-1 provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Professional Video - Monitors - On Camera Monitors.
Supporting video signals up to 2K, the Ikan VX9i-1 9" Full HD Plus 3G-SDI/HDMI Monitor features 1920 x 1200 native resolution, a Gorilla Glass front, and comes with three interchangeable battery plates. It features digital and analog loop-through inputs and outputs, with cross conversion between the HDMI and SDI inputs. With a 450 cd/m² and 900:1 Contrast Ratio, the monitor delivers a sharp, bright image, and the IPS panel provides 170° viewing angle with minimal color or contrast shift, so your crew can crowd around the monitor and still see an image with good color and contrast.
The Gorilla Glass front offers superior protection to the screen versus most monitors that do not have a protective front. Monochrome peaking helps you confirm focus, while false color and ikan's clip guides are useful exposure tools. DSLR scaling offers you four scaling options, and the monitor's underscan function allows you to be sure you are seeing the edges of your frame. The monitor has a zoom function that lets you expand the image displayed on the monitor to approximately twice the size. The front panel sports eight assignable function buttons that let you quickly bring up often accessed menu pages, and the monitor has built-in front and rear Tally indicators. Four 1/4"-20 threaded mounting holes, one on each side, allow you to mount the monitor on a variety of accessory supports, and the included table stand allows you to place the monitor on a flat surface for easy viewing.
