User manual for the Interlogix S731DV Video / Data Transmitter & S731DVPKG

The user manual for the Interlogix S731DV Video / Data Transmitter & S731DVPKG provides necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Surveillance - Surveillance Video - Video Transmission - Signal Extenders.

The General Electric S731DV Video / Data Transmitter & Receiver Package (Standalone) features a standalone multimode transmitter, a standalone multimode receiver and 2 power supplies. The transmitter converts analog baseband composite video to 8-bit digital format. It transmits the converted video over 1 or 2 fibers to the receiver, and accepts return multiprotocol data that allows PTZ cameras at the camera station to be controlled remotely.

Support for major video formats allows the system to be retained even if there is a change of video control systems. The transmitter supports relay/contact closure from the camera station to the control station. The data translation function allows conversion of data from one format to another. Data formats can be set during installation and then be changed easily in the field via rotary switch.

Featuring 6.5 MHz video bandwidth and video SNR greater than 55 dB, the transmitter sends clear, high-quality images at resolutions of up to 520 TVL over an operating distance up to 3.2 miles (5.2 km). Optical Automatic Gain Control (OAGC) helps compensate for loss in signal strength.

SMARTS diagnostic technology features a video test pattern generator that allows failures to be identified from the monitor. In addition, the transceiver features LEDs that give a visual indication of the system status. Featuring a polycarbonate construction, the transmitter comes in a standalone configuration and offers solid-state short circuit protection. The S731DV comes with 2 power supplies, each supporting 100-240 VAC input power and operating at 18 W.
