The Handheld USB Microscope from iOptron features a 10x to 200x magnification, a manual focus, 2.0MP camera, and a 2.0 USB power and data connection to a computer. The 200x magnification is possible with a 17' monitor or larger. The focus and magnification of this microscope are manually controlled. As you are varying magnification, use the white rotary barrel on the side of your scope to tune focus and keep images sharp. Use the click type button also on the side, to snap pictures and take videos. To produce brighter images, the microscope has eight LEDs arranged in a ring around the objective lens to form a front illuminator. The brightness is controlled by a rotary dimmer switch located on the USB cable. Extending down from the body of the scope is a long transparent plastic bezel which protects your objective lens against accidental scratches by your instruments and stains by your solvents or degreasers.
The microscope can be used as a handheld device or can be attached to the included metal table stand. This will allow using both hands when working on your project and help stabilizing images, especially at high magnifications. To attach your microscope to the stand, simply slide it through the round sleeve on the L-shaped arm and secure with thumb screws. The L-shaped arm has an adjustable height and can be rotated around its axis to help alignment.
Included with the microscope is imaging software for displaying your specimens on a computer screen or saving images and videos.
