The user manual for the Kurzweil Artis7 76 Key Stage Piano ARTIS-7 provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Pro Audio - Musical Instruments - Stage Pianos & Organs.
The Kurzweil Artis7 76-Key Stage Piano (Semi-Weighted Keyboard) is designed for both recording studio and live performance applications. The keyboard features a Fatar TP-8 semi-weighted keyboard to enable expressive playing with realistic dynamics. The keyboard can be divided into four zones with split/layer, extensive MIDI, individual zone volume, and mute controls. The unit includes 32 realistic stage piano sounds from the German 9' Grand Piano as well as classic Hammond, Vox, and Farfisa organ models from the KB3 ToneReal Organs. It also comes with 256 factory programs and 256 multis, including some of the best sounds from the company's PC3K and Kore 64 collections, such as new pianos, vintage electric pianos, clavinets, synthesizers, string sections, orchestras, guitars, percussion, and more. To further enhance your sound, the unit includes a powerful FX engine with award winning reverbs, delays, choruses, flangers, phasers, distortions, rotary amplifiers, compressors, and more.
For physical controls, the keyboard features a 3-band master EQ for bass, treble, and a sweepable midrange, as well as nine sliders, six switches, two front-panel mounted wheels, dedicated -/+ transpose buttons, category and program/multi selection buttons, ten favorite sound preset buttons, two switch pedal inputs, and one continuous control pedal input. The unit comes with a sustain/switch pedal.
The back panel of the unit features 1/4" inputs for sustain and volume pedals, as well as an 1/8" audio input for playing along with a mobile device such as a smartphone or MP3 player. A pair of 1/4" outputs allow you to connect the keyboard to external amplifiers, and a 1/4" headphone output allows you to practice and track with your favorite headphones. MIDI in and out on 5-pin connectors allow for interfacing with MIDI sequencers and other compatible devices. Two USB ports (one Type B and one Type A) allow you to connect the unit to tablets, computers, and USB storage drives for interfacing, recording, and firmware updates. A desktop editor software program can be downloaded for free that allows you to edit patches in greater detail using a computer.
