User manual for the Letus35 Helix 4-Axis Magnesium Camera LT-HELIX-MG4-BTRC

The user manual for the Letus35 Helix 4-Axis Magnesium Camera LT-HELIX-MG4-BTRC provides necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Professional Video - Tripods, Supports & Rigs - Gimbal Stabilizers.

Stabilizing your camera moves has become the name of the game, and the Helix 4-Axis Camera Stabilizer with Bluetooth-WiFi and RC Modules from Letus35 stabilizes cameras weighting up to 16 pounds in three axes with its brushless gimbals. This Helix is built from magnesium, which is lighter and stronger than aluminum, while providing superior vibration dampening than aluminum. The Helix is a powered stabilizer that features a modular design with a removable platform for each of the three axes: roll, pan, and tilt. The modular design allows you to quickly turn your three-axis stabilizer into a one-axis stabilizer. This unit includes the 4th axis, which allows you to mount the Helix on a third party balancing system, such as a Steadicam, or tripod, while retaining full function of the Helix's 3 Axes. An optional spacer is required for mounting the stabilizer to a vest/arm-type stabilizer. This unit comes with both the Bluetooth-WiFi and RC modules installed at the factory. The RC module provides remote control of the pan and tilt functions by a second camera operator, while the Bluetooth module allows you to setup your Helix using an Android device running the BaseCam app, or using a laptop with the BaseCam desktop software. BaseCam is a free download. The WiFi allows you to interface with the iOS Letus Helix app, available on the app store.

The Helix balances around the optical center of your camera, providing less stress on the system and your cameras image stabilization system, but also allowing nodal camera rolls. The flat bottom design of the Helix allows you to place it down on a flat surface without requiring a stand mount or other support. It incorporates a cold shoe and 1/4"-20 accessory mounting points on the unit and handgrips. Please note: this unit does not include a battery or charger, which you must source separately.
