The Link Electronics PDP-886 is a Closed Caption encoder for NTSC and PAL systems with decoder; data channels and text select are offered for user selection. The required input signal is SDI; this unit will then insert caption data on line 21 of field one or field two for analog output and encode for SDI. It will also read caption data and decode for display.
