The XS-3G HD/SDI Fiber Optic Transmitter with Power Supply from Link Electronics is a part of the XS-3G HD/SDI Fiber Optic Transmission System. The miniature and high-quality transmitter is pathological test compliant, with built-in EQ and re-clocking features. It works with either single-mode or multi-mode fiber cable and is capable of transmitting up to 20mi. It supports SMPTE 424M / 297M (1080p, 2.97 Gb/s); SMPTE 292M / 297M (HDTV, 1.485 Gb/s); and SMPTE 259M / 297M (SDTV, 270 / 360 Mb/s).

The transmitter includes LED indicators to display power On, HD / SDI signal presence, and optical power levels. It provides critical system diagnostic information at a glance without a need for additional test equipment. This transmitter uses the included power supply or any DC voltage from 5 to 16V. By using XLR 4-pin with latch locking mechanism, it can avoid unwanted power interruption. This connection also includes provisions for SNMP monitoring.
