The Microsemi PowerDsine PD-AS-951/12-24 4-Pairs High PoE Active Splitter enables data terminals that were not originally designed to accept power from the Ethernet to be powered by PoE midspans. Using this high power splitter, devices that do not natively accept PoE power can be made PoE-ready without any modification of the terminals. Moreover, such devices may also accept lower power than standard PoE output (44V in IEEE802.3af / 50V in 802.3at).
