The MSI H170 PC MATE ATX Motherboard features an H170 express chipset along with an LGA1151 socket that supports Intel's 6th-generation of Skylake processors. This chipset along with the four DIMM slots enable the motherboard to handle up to 64GB of DDR4 2133 MHz memory modules. MSI has built this motherboard to be compatible with various types of drives. The six SATA III connectors are designed for your existing storage and optical drives. With a single SATA express port, you can install a drive that has a SATA or PCI interface. Another PCI-based connection is the M.2 slot, which utilizes multiple PCI lanes to provide a bandwidth of 32 Gb/s. For external devices, this motherboard comes with four USB 3.0 ports as well as two USB 3.1 Type-A ports with speeds up to 10 Gb/s.
The H170 PC Mate motherboard delivers visuals to your monitor with integrated Intel graphics and the HDMI, DVI-D, and VGA ports. For a gaming build, two PCIe 3.0 x16 slots let you install dedicated graphics cards linked with AMD CrossFire technology. There are also three PCIe 3.0 x1 and two PCI slots for supporting expansion cards.
