The Nipros HDS-300S System Build-Up Rig increases the versatility of your compact handheld or shoulder mount camcorder. The robust aluminum die-cast chassis helps protect electronic and optical components, and is adjustable to accommodate a variety of camcorder lengths and lens sizes. The HDS-300S differs from the HDS-300 in that the right side of the chassis is left open, making it suitable for use with cinema style cameras which have wider bodies or many BNC connections - such as the Sony F5/F55. The HDS-300S also doesn't have the lens control interface box with zoom and focus/iris interface ports.
The HDS-300S provides a variety of professional interface connectors, including HD/SD-SDI input and return signals, and tally output. A viewfinder port is also provided, allowing you to use a Nipros studio viewfinder. A height adjustable viewfinder plate with shoe mount provides a mounting point on the top of your rig for easy viewing of your monitor. When equipped with the optional Nipros or multi-core Camera Conversion System, the HDS-300S provides all of the essential inputs and outputs for a broad range of camera system configurations.
A V-mount battery attachment increases your camera's versatility by expanding power options and allowing large capacity batteries or third party camera accessories to be mounted directly to the back of the ST-7 rig. A 4-pin XLR input is also provided for accepting power from external sources. To pass power to your camera or accessories, the rig has a 4-pin XLR output and a 4-pin Hirose power output, which supplies 8.4 to 12 VDC power to select cameras using optional DC cables.
The HDS-300S has a cheese plate style base, providing a durable mounting platform with several attachment points for your camcorder, as well as an optional quick-release tripod adapter plate. Two 1/4"-20 and two 3/8"-16 screws are provided for mounting your camcorder to the baseplate.
