The PT-056 Underwater Housing from Olympus is a compact, lightweight waterproof case enabling you to shoot deeper beneath the surface with their Tough TG-3 Digital Camera. It has a depth rating of 148', improving upon the camera's own depth rating of 49', and is neutrally buoyant. Mechanical controls afford access to all camera functions. The housing is constructed from corrosion-resistant polycarbonate for durability, and features a transparent back plate for easy monitoring of the camera and detection of water ingress in the unlikely event of a leak. The supplied fiber-optic cable adapter enables you to attach an optional underwater fiber-optic cable to connect an optional underwater flash unit, which can be triggered by the firing of the camera's built-in flash. Additionally, the housing's flat lens port has a screw mount that allows for the attachment of optional macro and wide-angle conversion lenses. This port is made of multi-coated glass to reduce inner reflections. Also supplied is a detachable hood for the camera's LCD monitor, in order to block unwanted light for better visibility.
