Utilizing phase-corrected PGK glass roof prisms and Oasis 64-layer prism coating, the 8.5x50 Imagic BGA SE Binocular from Opticron delivers sharp, clear imagery due to the reduced interference in the light's path and an Oasis prism 64-layer coating that provides excellent transmission over a broad spectrum. The 8.5x magnification is ideal for resolving detail in heavy brush or at long distances where accurate identification is critical, and the large 50mm objectives provide enhanced low-light performance over small objective binoculars. Also, the optics feature an Opticron F-type multicoating that maximizes color contrast in low light. With a 23mm long eye relief and 51° apparent angle of view, the normal limitations associated with higher power binoculars, like limited fields of view and excessive shake, are visibly reduced.
The binocular is designed for outdoor usage with a rubber armoring around the magnesium alloy chassis. Also, the Imagic BGA SE is nitrogen-filled and waterproof down to 10'. Each eyepiece features a four-stage retractable eyecup for adjusting to each users comfort level and they are individually focusable down to 11.5'. Additionally, it comes with a soft leather case, a neoprene neck strap, a rainguard, and objective lens caps.
