The VF972HC 9.7" LED HDMI On-Camera/Field Monitor from Orion Images Corporation features a native resolution of 1280 x 768 and supports video signals up to 1920 x 1080p. The monitor is suitable for use as an on-camera monitor as well as a production monitor when using an optional monitor stand. With 400 cd/m2 brightness and 600:1 contrast ratio, the monitor provides a crisp image and is suitable for interiors, and exteriors with the included sunhood. The 178° viewing angle provides for good off axis viewing, such as when a crowd has gathered around the monitor to view the shot.
The monitor incorporates as variety of useful features including focus peaking, false color, and horizontal / vertical flip (mirroring). Histogram, zebra bars, and pixel-to-pixel round out the camera tools that the monitor supports. With HDMI in and out, you can monitor your image, and send the video signal downstream to additional monitors or video village without requiring optional splitters. Center and screen monitors provide guides for camera operation, and the included tally adapter allows you to use monitor as your camera's viewfinder. The monitor includes battery plates for Canon LP-E6 and Sony F970 batteries, an HDMI cable, tally connector, and sunshade. Orion Images High Performance 9.7" LED Viewfinder/Field Monitor uses a high resolution panel featuring 178°/178° wide viewing angles. It is capable of multi-inputs including Video (CVBS) and 2 HDMI inputs and output. Many of the built-in functions and front assignable buttons make this monitor very convenient to use in the field.
