The 8TB Mercury Rack Pro from Other World Computing is a 1U rackmount hard drive array with a mini-SAS interface. It is compatible with Windows and Mac computer systems. The array is populated with four 7200rpm hard drives, each with 64MB of cache memory.
The array is capable of transferring data at up to an amazing 24Gbps when used with an optional high-performance controller card. OWC includes an extensive software bundle with the array. Prosoft Engineering Data Backup 3 and Carbon Copy Cloner are included for Mac OS X. NovaStor NovaBACKUP is included for Windows. And InTech SpeedTools Utilities is included for use with both Mac and Windows systems.
