Question and answer discussion forum concerning user instructions and resolving problems with the Pacific Image Prime Film XE Film Scanner PRIMEFILM XE
I am trying to connect my new PrimeFilmXEs, which has a USB 2.0 port, to an HP computer running Windows 10, which has only USB-C ports. The online info suggests using a USB hub in this situation. My computer is connected to a Plugable USB 3.0 docking station, and I tried connecting it to the USB 2 port on the docking station, but when I tried to run the CyberViewX app to access the scanner, it gives the message, "Unable to communicate with the Film Scanner. ...". Any ideas?
