The POH1000NWM PoE Powered Outdoor Environmental Housing from Panasonic is made from two extruded aluminum profiles and two injection-molded polycarbonate end caps. A clear polycarbonate viewing window is ultrasonically welded to the inside of the front end cap creating a watertight seal. The rear cap has a molded standoff on the inside surface for mounting the blower. The top of the housing is hinged to the side allowing accessibility to the camera for focus and adjustment. A heater is included and mounted to the inside of the housing for defogging and deicing the viewing window. Four vent plugs create a positive air flow when the blower is in use.
Operating from a POE Plus, IEEE 802.3at input to power the heater and blower system and an IEEE 802.3af compliant fixed camera, one network cable supplies both the network connections and all input power requirements. Intelligent technology distributes power between the heater and blower system and the camera, prioritizing the incoming the power to the camera. When first installed, the housing unit calibrates to the camera and installation conditions. A 33W midspan is included as well as a wall/pole mount for easy installation.
