User manual for the Panasonic WV-SC387 Super Dynamic HD PTZ Dome Network WV-SC387

The user manual for the Panasonic WV-SC387 Super Dynamic HD PTZ Dome Network WV-SC387 provides necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Surveillance - Surveillance Video - Wired IP Cameras.

The Panasonic WV-SC387 Super Dynamic HD PTZ Dome Network Camera with a 2.4MP MOS image sensor offers high-quality imagery with high sensitivity. With the UniPhier LSI chip, the network camera allows simultaneous streaming of real-time imagery in H.264 and JPEG formats at a resolution of 1280 x 960 at 30 fps. It allows you to change the JPEG image compression ratio during an alarm for high-quality images, while H.264/MPEG-4 maximum bit rate/client and total bit rate control enables flexible network traffic management.

The HD Dome Camera offers 30x optical zoom with 12x digital zoom, allowing you to view remote objects without compromising on image quality. While the Face Super Dynamic provides clear face images, the face-detection function helps in detecting the position of human faces and sends the information via XML or video stream for evaluation. With a minimum illumination of 0.3 lux (color) and 0.04 lux (b&w), the camera offers clear images even in low light conditions. The dome network camera also features Adaptive Digital Noise Reduction (3D-DNR) to deliver clear images by removing signals that could result in video noise (grainy images).

Besides, the PTZ control feature with 360° map shot allows the camera to capture images at full 360° field-of-view at 45° intervals, divided into 8 thumbnails that easily direct the PTZ camera. VMD (Video Motion Detection), with 4 programmable detection areas, 15 sensitivity levels, and 10 levels of detection size, triggers an alarm when motion is detected in a designated portion of the video display. When motion is detected, you can receive email notifications or upload pre- and post-alarm snapshots via FTP.

Zone blanking blanks out an entire area or zone (which is set by a system operator) to eliminate any unnecessary video information from being processed, thus decreasing video traffic over a network. Up to 32 zones can be programmed to output blank video for areas not requiring video surveillance. The auto-tracking feature allows the network dome camera to automatically pan/tilt to follow moving subjects, ensuring that no event is missed. The full duplex bi-directional communication allows you to talk to visitors or potential intruders from operator's base station.

When multiple recorders or client PCs access the camera, you can prioritize one of the videos for maintaining the frame rate using the prioritize stream control function. The SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot for on-board storage prevents data loss due to network connection and also makes efficient use of bandwidth by reducing the transmission of unnecessary data.
